Hands-On Korean Cooking Classes

These classes will guide you through some amazing Korean favorites from Chef Jenny Lee. Come learn some new techniques and sample new flavors while rediscovering the joy of cooking and eating together.
Korean rice bowl (Bibimbap)
Learn how to make a Korean rice bowl with seasonal and local produce! We will cook with vegetables from the farmers' market. We'll make Korean marinated chicken with vegetables we will put over rice. We'll make a sauce. Some allergies and food restrictions can be accommodated like using tofu instead of meat. Please email email@example.com for special requests.

Korean glass noodles (Japchae)
Learn how to make Japchae, Korean glass noodles with mixed vegetables! We will saute pork belly and serve with sesame oil, salt and pepper. K-drama Menu Itaewon Class
Do you love K-dramas? Itaewon Class is a popular K-drama on Netflix. A boy’s father is tragically killed in a reckless motor accident by a thoughtless rich classmate. The classmate’s father shields the kid, so justice isn’t served. The boy vows to avenge his father by taking down his classmate’s food conglomerate. The boy has a gift for cooking and opens a pub. We will make kimchi fried rice and Soondubu jjigae or Soft Tofu stew, which appear in the show. Have fun watching Itaewon Class before this cooking class begins! INSTRUCTOR BIO: Jenny Lee is the chef/owner of Perilla Kitchen. She teaches cooking classes in the Milwaukee area. In November and December, she sells kimchi with locally grown Napa cabbage when it is in season. She has worked as a line cook for James Beard Award-winning chefs in Milwaukee and New York City.
